Animal of the Day - 9.28.2010

A Standard Poodle I met while walking around a very beautiful estate in Upstate New York (cannot remember the name of it for anything right now).

Another pose.

 Shy, but sharing the scene.

  10. I gotta say, I usually dislike owning shaggy dogs. But I have a feeling if we ever met, I'd fall right in love. Very kind, curious eyes. Thanks for the comment my friend.

  14. Apparently the standard poodle is the second smartest breed of dog, with the first being the Border Collie. Which I wouldn't disagree with if you've ever seen video of a trained Border Collie doing something. It's amazing. I didn't know until later on in my life there were different types/sizes of poodles. I was only used to seeing the little miniature poodles and when I saw a standard I thought someone had given it some steroids or something.
