Random Photo of the Day - 12.08.10

Some graffiti in Gavinana, Italy. It reads:

GO HOME
YENKEE
GAVINANA

I honestly didn't remember where I took this picture. It's a good thing whoever wrote this decided to put a reminder at the bottom. Thanks, random Italian who replaced "A" with "E" in "YENKEE!"

  1. How is it NOT graffiti? Unless you mean it was more of a warning, like I was about to walk into a trap. Like an Italian version of Hostel.

  2. How many yenkees do they get in Gavinana?
It's a bit out of the way.

  9. funny how italians hate americans so much, i had to wear a canadian t-shirt so i didn't get swore at and kicked out of shops when i was there.

  10. lol MRanthrope, I wasn't. But I was wearing a shirt that said "Americans are better than you." Just kidding. Aside from a couple of shirts I packed I had nice clothes that wouldn't make me stick out too much. Although being with some of the people I was with I would've stuck out even if I was Italian.

@Das Auto! - I wasn't treated with too much disrespect. Actually being in Italy I was treated much nicer than when I was in Spain (during the same trip). I could communicate better with people in Spain but was still treated like an idiot.

  12. Wow, little angry. I hate to ask but this wasn't directed at you was it?

  13. lol, no it wasn't directed at me. I would've loved that, actually. to get that much attention from someone in a foreign country would've been nice actually. I just passed that while going down a street and thought it was picture-worthy.
